I am selling my VW T3 camper van, first registered in July 1981, technically fully functional, first engine, original paintwork with gas heating, double glazing, two-burner gas stove, sink and refrigerator (gas, 12 V and 220 V).
.
The vehicle was only driven within the family and almost exclusively by my father and myself. The bus was converted to our specifications by a specialist company in Stuttgart. I bought the bus according to their specifications as a van without windows with a VW high roof. The van was professionally converted into a camping vehicle and registered. We had bought an exhibition vehicle (T2) from the same company years before at the trade fair in Stuttgart. That's why we knew exactly what the new bus should look like. I still think the conversion is pretty perfect. The fixed roof means that no measures are necessary even in storms and heavy rain. The bus is completely rainproof. The fixed roof means there is plenty of
storage space. Above the driver's cab there is a large compartment for camping table, chairs, on ramps for leveling (so that the fat in the pan does not run onto the side) and smaller camping accessories. On the opposite side there is a large cupboard for laundry etc. Behind the stove is a narrow closet where suits, shirts and dresses can be stored on hangers. The table is lengthways in the direction of travel. There are two wide seats on each side with large storage compartments underneath. Pots, pans and similar cooking utensils are stored in the cupboard under the stove. The washbasin opposite the stove has a small electric pump and therefore running water from a canister. Waste water flows into a large tank on the underside of the vehicle, which is emptied via a tap.
The tabletop is inserted between the two seat boxes and the cushions create a lying surface of approx. 1.60 × 2 m. This is sufficient for two adults. Sufficient for two adults.
The vehicle has an MOT until December 2026 and I will carry out a current MOT inspection on request in return for reimbursement of the fees.
Both my father and I still had cars at the same time, so the bus was only used for camping. the bus was initially registered to my father, but since his death I have been the registered keeper.
registered keeper. The bus is therefore officially second-hand. The bus has an H license plate and is in its original condition. It was garaged in 1989 and therefore has no serious rust. But the paintwork is dull and should be polished. It has minor imperfections from stone chips and use. I am now 77 years old, camping vacations are slowly becoming too strenuous for me, so I sold the bus because of its age. The vehicle is in perfect technical condition, even on the underside. So you can go on vacation immediately. To start with, I only put the comforter and pillow in the bus, put my clothes away and put the contents of the fridge in the camper van.
The bus is a perfect vehicle for camping vacations for two, even over several weeks. Even though the bus is still approved for five people, there are only two seats with headrests and safety belts. Really perfect for two. According to the manufacturer, the bus is fully insulated and also suitable for winter camping. I myself once spent 14 days winter camping for two in a large caravan. After this experience, I think the bus is too small and therefore unsuitable for winter camping.
The vehicle is registered and can be viewed and test-driven at my premises. If you wish, I can leave the existing pots, plates and cutlery in the bus. Also camping chairs and table. None of this is as good as new, but it works and may make it easier to get started.
