We are selling a VW Caddy Maxi converted as a camper with two seats, built in 2016. Unfortunately, our beloved mini camper has to leave us due to family growth.
We bought the vehicle in November 2022 and converted it DIY. The Caddy has been registered as a motorhome since March 2025.
The car is currently still being moved, so the kilometers may change.

Important information in advance:
We have built the van to offer maximum comfort in the body, therefore the adjustment of the driver's seat is limited. People over approx. 180cm will probably not be able to drive the car comfortably without further modifications. A test drive is of course possible at any time by arrangement.

The motorhome equipment is as follows:
- Sterling Power 1800W induction hob can also be used without shore power
- 300W solar panels with Victron Engery MPTT 100 | 20
- Renogy 3000W inverter (3000W continuous power, up to 6000W peak), automatic switchover to shore power, cooking + heating + e-bike charging possible at the same time even without shore power
- CEE shore power socket behind the driver's door, 16A fuse protection
- 3x 230V sockets can also be used without shore power
- 4x 3-way USB sockets with USB Power Delivery up to 65W (USB A, USB C), 3x in the body, 1x in the driver's cab instead of the cigarette lighter
- 3 dimmable ceiling lights 3.5W 4000k, separately switched
- Dometic CDF 26 compressor cooler, 21 liters
- Power Queen 410ah (5248 Wh) LiFePo4 body battery, with Victron Energy Orion-TR-Smart charging booster for charging via alternator
- USB front, USB rear, cool box, pump, light -> separately fused and switchable
- Bench seat with table can be converted into a bed (approx. 115x180cm)
- The table can be rotated and allows you to sit opposite each other
- CarBest hinged window 50x35cm with privacy screen and fly screen in the sliding door
- Dometic Mini Heki roof hood 40x40cm with fly screen and privacy screen
- High-pressure mixer tap with shower and pull-out, which also provides an improvised shower option through the hinged window
- Lilie Soft series LP4142 pump, 11.3L/min 2.1 bar
- Fresh water canister 16 liters, grey water canister 13 liters both under the worktop, 19 liter canister behind the passenger seat possible
- 10 cm deep sink with soap dispenser
- Curtain for the partition to the driver's cab
- Privacy screen with insulation for the rear window
- BOXIO dry separation toilet in the pull-out with second canister, can also be used when the bed is set up
- Various storage compartments, one drawer, cupboards
- The body is fully insulated with Armaflex 19mm (where possible) - including floor and roof

Vehicle condition and upgrades compared to the base
Our Caddy is in good condition, but you can see its age in one or two places. For example, there are a few small flaws in the paintwork and dents and the trim strips on the side are partially faded.
Technically, the condition is very good, we did the brakes at the end of 2024, the all-season tires are from 2022 and still have some tread.
The heated windshield was replaced by a specialist company in October 2024.
I changed the oil in August 2024.

We retrofitted the following as part of the conversion:
- Multifunction steering wheel and steering column control unit
- PDC rear and front (no PLA)
- Reversing camera
- Passenger seat (Alcantara) with seat heating
- App Connect activation for Wired Apple Car Play and Wired Android Auto
- ETON POW 172.2 loudspeakers
Due to the conversion of the steering wheel and control unit, the GRA lever is currently not functional. This can certainly be corrected with appropriate programming. However, functionality is 100% with the multifunction steering wheel.
