General description

We are selling our caravan. The children have left home and there are now two of us traveling with a bus, so the caravan is more stationary than used. If you are looking for a new, luxurious and faultless caravan, you have come to the wrong place - please contact an authorized caravan dealer and buy a new one there. However, if you are looking for the romance of camping and also want to repair something - you have come to the right place.

The story:

Bought it in 2012 as absolute newbies to caravanning and unfortunately it turned out to have water damage. The water damage was completely repaired professionally and true to the original and the caravan was rebuilt (documentation available). Unfortunately, we were unable to obtain the original interior wall paneling, so we used 3 mm plywood panels with fiberglass wallpaper and paint as an alternative.

New power supply and anti-sway clutch fitted - 100 km/h approval.

We converted the rear seating area into a fixed double bed with slatted frame, which can be opened up to allow easy access to the mega storage space. Over the course of the years, there were repeated additions / improvements such as blinds at the front and rear with blackout blinds and fly screens. Also the roof hatch with blackout + fly screen. Vinyl floor etc.

Kitchen everything works except water in the sink - but is not a big act to get this going - just missing a fresh water canister with pump. Waste water runs (a bucket or canister is placed under the caravan = original condition).

In the front area is the seating area, which can also be converted into a bed. This small sleeping area can then be closed with an accordion door. Under the benches is the familiar additional storage space. The upholstery was redone in 2012 with the old covers.

We removed the gas heating as it was no longer safe for us after so many years. A new purchase was too expensive for us. We now heat with electricity - this is available at every campsite and is absolutely sufficient.

The caravan was completely resealed 3 years ago. It's actually standard for caravans to do this at regular intervals.

Gas system runs at 50mBar (original) - as the previous owner didn't have a test booklet and it wasn't mandatory in the past, we didn't get a test booklet for the 50mBar system. However, out of our own safety considerations, we still had the system checked regularly by a friend who also does this professionally, but of course we didn't get a certificate. So far, we have never had to present an inspection or been asked for one. We also only have an electrically operated fridge. I haven't yet looked into converting the fridge, but it would be a piece of cake to disconnect it from the gas connection. We've used the hob inside maybe 5-10 times over the years to make a coffee on the go. When I bought it in 2012, the hob was still unused. It would also be time to replace a new connection hose and pressure reducer to be on the safe side. Not a big deal. There are 30 mBar nozzles on the market for the gas hob - so this conversion would also be quick and easy to implement.

There are still some accessories available that we can talk about in the VHB, such as

- Detachable washing line over the entire length of the WW (see gallery picture)

- awning

- outdoor kitchen

- Power connection cable

- Replacement rear window

- Access box (i.e. step with storage space for pegs, electricity etc.)

- Wind-permeable awning (self-made)

- Additional car mirror

There is no awning, and we have never needed one as we are "summer campers", so to speak. If it's a bit cooler and/or uncomfortable, there's still room inside.

If you are interested, make an appointment - come and see for yourself.
