For sale is our KNAUS VAN TI Plus 650 MEG on a VW Crafter chassis with 177 PS and all-wheel drive, first registered in May 2023, from a single previous owner.

But if you’re looking for a vehicle that’s already been thoroughly thought out, improved, and upgraded with high-quality components—and has never had to visit a KNAUS service center due to a defect—you should take a few minutes to read this listing in its entirety.

Over the past three years, we haven’t just driven our KNAUS. We’ve gotten to know it on our travels and have made improvements wherever we wanted even more comfort, safety, self-sufficiency, or practical solutions.

It was never about installing as many extras as possible. Every retrofit was meant to serve a real purpose.

Over time, we’ve added retrofits and accessories with a total original purchase value of around €23,000.

Much of this would have to be purchased at a high cost and laboriously retrofitted in a comparable production vehicle.

With this vehicle, it’s already been done.

Significant investments have already been made here:

· For us, the Goldschmitt hydraulic jack stands are among the features you won’t want to be without after just a short time.
Pull in, position the vehicle, and stand firmly without having to fiddle with wheel chocks. No wobbling when moving around inside the RV.

"Self-sufficient on the road"

We also made sure to include sensible features for the electrical system:

· 330 Wp solar system with Victron controller

· 160 Ah lithium body/on-board battery, 2 × 80 Ah

· 2,000-watt Dometic inverter with remote control

· This gives the vehicle excellent capabilities for traveling independently of shore power.

"Safety and All-Around Visibility"

A comprehensive Thitronik alarm system with additional sensors is installed.
Among other things, the following are monitored:

· Camper door

· Bathroom door

· Roof hatches

· Pull-out shelves

· In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a dashcam that includes a rearview camera.

The rear camera can remain on at all times while driving and thus also serves as a digital rearview mirror for monitoring traffic behind the vehicle.

"LPG fuel system"

Another feature we really appreciate when traveling:

2 × 11 kg aluminum gas tanks that can be refilled directly with LPG.

Included are:

· DuoControl

· Gas filter

· Crash sensor

Especially on longer trips and when traveling abroad, the gas tank system is much more convenient for us than the traditional bottle exchange.

"Living Space and Entertainment"

The interior has also been upgraded in several ways:

· 32-inch TV in the living area with a soundbar

· 24-inch TV in the sleeping area

· LTE router with Wi-Fi

· Premium body door

· Ambient lighting

· MaxxFan ceiling fan in the bathroom

· Higher-quality mattresses from an upholsterer for greater comfort

· Improved seat cushioning on the bench

"Well-designed storage solutions"

Some of the best improvements aren’t immediately obvious.

Especially on longer trips, we’ve found that it’s not just the size of the storage space that matters, but above all how well it can be utilized.

That’s why we’ve implemented various custom solutions:

· 4-tier pull-out shelf from Karl Regal

· Shoe rack right next to the entrance

· Additional shelves in both wardrobes

· Both steps were fitted with hinged openings, turning them into additional storage space

· The bathroom floor was visually coordinated with the living area and equipped with removable shelves.

These are small details that can easily get overlooked in a standard list of features but make a real difference in everyday use.

"Additional high-quality upgrades"

· Thule V16 Lift bike rack for two bikes

· Nano sealant, currently with about one year of warranty remaining

And this is exactly where we see the big difference compared to many other VAN TI Plus models on the market.

In addition to the already solid base model with 177 PS and all-wheel drive, retrofits and accessories with a purchase value at the time of around 23,000 € have been added over the years.

These include, among other things, Goldschmitt lift stands, weight increase, 18-inch Borbet wheels, wheel spacers, lithium batteries, a solar system, a 2,000-watt inverter, a Thitronik alarm system, an LPG gas tank system, a Thule bike lift, additional insulation, underbody protection, an entertainment system, and numerous custom interior solutions.

Anyone who buys a vehicle with a more basic configuration and then wants to bring it up to a comparable standard must not only make a significant investment.

They’ll also need time, workshop appointments, and patience.

All of that has already been taken care of with this vehicle.

So why are we selling it?

A valid question.

It’s not because we’re dissatisfied with our KNAUS.

Quite the contrary. We’ve equipped it exactly as we wanted it for our travels, and we’d make many of the modifications we’ve made again in a heartbeat.

The only reason for the sale is that we’re switching to a larger motorhome, since we’ll be traveling more often and for longer periods in the future.
