KNAUS has perfected the VW Crafter’s body in this semi-integrated motorhome. With its 177 PS fuel-efficient engine and automatic transmission, we made it safely across the Alps and down to the lake.

To allow for self-sufficient camping for several days, we had a Liotron 80Ah LiFe battery installed. A Maxx fan is installed above the beds to ensure comfortable climate control.

The gas system has just undergone a leak test and inspection. The vehicle passed its TÜV inspection on April 1—next inspection due in April 2028.

The inspections were performed at a VW dealership, where a brand-new starter battery was installed last year. Also in 2025, new all-season tires from Continental were added.

In the rear garage, I’ve mounted two horizontal tie-down rails across the width to securely transport camping furniture, etc.

We always took our e-bikes with us on vacation: they fit in the rear garage, where they’re safely secured. I’m happy to include a bike rack that can be mounted in the rear garage upon request.
