A fantastic, absolutely reliable, and meticulously maintained family motorhome based on a Fiat Ducato with a Chausson body is for sale. It is with a heavy heart that we are parting ways with our beloved “Friedrich”—he has grown very dear to us, but is now looking for a new home as we’re downsizing. Perfect for the next family! 1. Engine, Chassis & Maintenance
Base Model & Performance: Fiat Ducato, 1.9 L TDI, 90 PS, model year 2001, only 139,000 km. Very agile and easy to handle thanks to its 6 m length.
Payload: Up to 3.5 metric tons—excellent payload capacity due to the low curb weight (can be driven easily with a Class B driver’s license).
Maintenance: Meticulously maintained at a specialized repair shop. It accompanied us without a single issue on a recent 6-week, 7,000 km trip to the North Cape! Serviced immediately afterward. TÜV valid through 09/28.
Replaced: New glow plugs & starter battery, new clutch, all new belts, fresh oil change.
Comfort: Air conditioning & additional heater for the rear area while driving. Rearview camera installed.
2. Body, Exterior & Watertightness
Waterproofing: Guaranteed to stay dry. All windows have been resealed as a preventive measure. Always stored in a dry barn when not traveling.
Roof & Ventilation: Almost all roof hatches have been replaced. Mini-Heki in the sleeping area. Center hatch replaced 2 years ago with a modern Maxfan (perfect ventilation even in rain / exhaust fan for cooking).
Exterior: Large awning (approx. 4 m) + unused front awning included. Sturdy rear bike rack for 4 bikes (securely holds 2 e-bikes + a children’s bike without wobbling). Alcove with cross-ventilation and reading light.
3. Seating & Sleeping Spaces (up to 6 people)
Seat belts: 4 standard seat belts + additional headrest for the rear bench (registered before 2002).
Sleeping spaces: Up to 6 comfortable sleeping spaces (alco, children’s bunk bed, convertible dining area).
Bunk beds: 65 x 190 cm
Converted dining area: 132 x 176 cm
Alkoven bed: 150 x 205 cm
4. Well-thought-out family & sleeping layout
Alkoven: Fold-down wooden safety rail. Mattress like new (always used with a thick topper).
Bunk bed: Two separate children’s areas with windows, lighting, safety features (including clip-on fall protection and a wooden board), and their own blackout curtains for undisturbed sleep. Children’s mattresses always used with protective covers.
Storage: Lower bed folds up to expand the garage space + convenient reach-through compartment to the rear garage.
5. Kitchen, Living Area & Self-Sufficiency
Kitchen: 3-burner gas stove (gas inspection passed), 10-liter water heater, refrigerator (230V/12V/gas, fins cleaned, includes auxiliary fan for hot days). Stylish spice rack. Completely odor-free; most fabrics have been replaced.
Heating: Modern automatic heating system under the wardrobe (heats up in a flash, including the bathroom; successfully tested down to -2 °C).
Multimedia: 12V router for 5G (prepaid-compatible), tablet mount including 2 USB charging ports.
Power & Self-Sufficiency: New AGM auxiliary battery (start-stop type, deep-cycle capable). Two days of completely self-sufficient parking is easily possible. Fully converted to LED (dimmable seating area, USB reading light in the rear). Integrated battery voltage gauge.
6. Water, Bathroom & Extras
Water: Fiamma pressurized water pump (just under 2 years old), 100 L fresh water, 90 L gray water, 10 L toilet.
Bathroom: Shower pan/floor in perfect condition & watertight. Shower with long hose & stop showerhead (ideal for use as an outdoor shower!).
Accessories: Wheel chocks, awning, headrest, and fall protection are all included.
7. Miscellaneous & Handover
Viewing: Available by appointment.
Workshop Inspection: Recently performed on September 21, 2026—certifies that the vehicle is in technically sound and dry condition. The bodywork is explicitly rated as ABOVE AVERAGE!
