As for the defects I'm aware of:

- In the alcove, there is a leak at the front top on the passenger side (it was like that when I bought it), which was temporarily sealed but is still leaking in places (old water stains are visible inside the alcove and on the headliner in the cab). I cannot say to what extent this affects the interior trim.

- The front alcove window is damaged.

- There is a hole in the interior insulation in the step area leading to the rear living compartment.

- A small leak on the rear right side has been taped up (water marks visible behind the kitchen cabinet).

- Both fresh water tanks (present) under the front seats are not installed, and a thin layer of anti-rattle compound should have been applied beforehand for stabilization.

- Original LWR has failed. Must be replaced by the next TÜV inspection. This can be purchased as an electrical conversion kit on eBay (is H-neutral, as the original LWR knob continues to be used)

- The reflector mirror on the right headlight has become dull and must also be replaced before the next TÜV inspection.

- The engine leaks oil slightly in one spot when driven at high RPM or speed (presumably due to the crankcase ventilation below the glow plugs); at moderate speeds, the leak is minimal.

- A few more tasks need to be completed to obtain the coveted H certificate.

To my knowledge, or at least I assume, these include:

- Rear bumper: It was partially patched up by the previous owner but is not an issue for the standard TÜV inspection.

- A fresh coat of exterior paint, especially on the alcove area and hood, for aesthetic purposes.

- Refresh the upholstery and curtains (these are still the originals from 1995 and, like the rest of the interior, show age-related signs of use and wear).

Furthermore, this cannot be ruled out, as it naturally depends on the respective inspector!!!!!
