Restored 1986 Camptourist tent trailer

Gross vehicle weight rating: 500 kg

Trailer weight including tent: approx. 320 kg

The camper was completely restored between 2023 and 2025. There is nothing else in comparable condition.

The trailer

was completely rebuilt from the ground up.

Derusted, painted, caulked, sealed, and cavities treated. New and reinforced supports, new electrical system, new floor and cover panels, cover panel rebuilt using an insulated sandwich construction method based on the original, gaskets replaced, interior wood completely disassembled, sanded, stained, and sealed. And much more.

It is approved for speeds up to 100 km/h. A tow bar extension for modern vehicles was also installed. Approved, of course.

The entire restoration was documented with photographs and can be verified!

The tent

was, unfortunately, beyond repair after nearly 40 years. Since only a handful of upholstery shops still offer custom-made tents—starting at 3,500 EUR—we decided on the spot to go with a used steep-wall tent.

The original tent poles, including spare poles, are still available if needed.

Also in top condition is the rather rare tilting mechanism for side storage.

It passed its TÜV inspection with flying colors and has completed a maiden voyage of just under 1,000 km.
