We’re selling our trusty companion here because we’re switching to a travel trailer. It’s always taken us everywhere without any problems—for example, to the North Cape and back last year.

It was built in 2022 and has just under 31,000 km on it. The base vehicle is a Renault Master with a 2.3-liter 145 PS turbo diesel engine. Without any add-ons, it is 6.99 m long. All tests, maintenance, and inspections have always been performed on time by the respective dealer or manufacturer; for example, the major inspection at Renault was completed as recently as July 2026, including the replacement of all fluids for approximately 1,500 EUR:

- TÜV/Emissions Test: 03/2025 – Next appointment 03/2027

A leak was detected during the last leak test. Ahorn recently (September 2026) resealed and dried the area. While working on this, Ahorn also repaired a few minor issues, such as a dripping faucet and the loose step. So there’s no backlog of repairs; the RV is in top shape.

For our big trip last year, we had Ahorn increase the weight capacity to 4 metric tons. This means the RV has an enormous payload capacity of over 700 kg. However, reducing the weight capacity back to 3.5 metric tons is possible without any technical modifications. For the weight increase, an additional air suspension system with adjustable air pressure was installed on the rear axle. This not only improves handling but also allows the rear axle to be automatically raised or lowered by a few centimeters, making it easier to level the RV at the campground.

In addition to the already extensive standard equipment, the following was installed:

- Off-grid package with a 100Ah LiFePo battery (monitorable via cell phone) and a 100W solar panel

- Automatic Alden satellite system with a TV in the sleeping area

- Truma roof-mounted air conditioner

- Charging booster to fully charge the body battery while driving

- Rearview camera

- Thule awning

- Bicycle rack for three bicycles or 60 kg

- Victron battery charger with smartphone control

- LED exterior light

- Additional 12V outlet in the rear garage (e.g., to power an additional cooler)

The following accessories are also included:

- Complete awning with floor cover

- Unused, full-size spare tire (from 2025)

- 25-meter cable reel (CEE)

- 11 kg gas cylinder

- Various small accessories such as wheel chocks, drain hose, adapters, etc.
